Ayasofya Mansions is situated on Sogukcesme Street between the City's greatest imperial monuments, the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace.

Ayasofya Konaklari is situated on Sogukcesme Street between the City's greatest imperial monuments, the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. A piece of art placed at the best location of history.

The nine hotel buildings consist of a row of guesthouses with a reception office between the cistern and the library. Every house in this street, which is completely closed to traffic, greets the visitor with the name of perfume, such as Jasmine House, Honeysuckle House, Rose Mansion, Cyclamen House, etc. The houses consist of between four or ten rooms, each furnished in a particular colour: the yellow, blue or red rooms.
The interiors are furnished in the 19th century Turkish style in which traditional taste and Western influence achieved a perfect balance. The armchairs with tasselled fringes, the velvet curtains, the brackets and mirrors, all offer the visitor a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Rooms

The nine hotel buildings consist of a row of guesthouses on Sogukcesme Street with a reception office between the Cistern Restaurant (aged 1500 years) and the Istanbul Library (more than 10,000 books about ?stanbul). Konuk Evi is the last building in the row (the tenth building or named as the main building) located across the reception desk. All of the guests at the hotel take their open buffet breakfast in Konuk Evi building’s expansive garden surrounded by beautiful flowers.

Every house in this street, which is completely closed to traffic, greets the visitors with the name of perfume, such as Jasmine House, Honeysuckle House, Rose Mansion, Cyclamen House, etc. Each house have between four to ten rooms, each furnished in a particular colour: yellow, blue, red...

The taxis/minibuses can come in front of the reception desk (24 hours) using Caferiye Street and guests are guided to the rooms with the help of bellboys.

64 rooms, 120 people capacity in 10 different buildings in total.

Room type View / location Number Sizes
Wall side single room Without Ayasofya View         10 m2 - 12m2

Triple room With direct Ayasofya view  30m2

The main difference of a wall and a street side room is about the view. The street side rooms are at the front side of the 9 different buildings of Sogukcesme Street, having a direct view of Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia). Konuk Evi rooms have either garden or Ayasofya view. The wall side rooms are facing the next buildings of the row on Sogukcesme Street (all of the rooms have Windows). Some of the double rooms have two single beds, most of them have one big bed.

We do not have a swimming pool at Ayasofya Konaklari, but have a nice garden, a terrace cafe (directly facing to Hagia Sophia), a cistern bar, a garden and a cistern restaurant, and two cafes along the street to enjoy the time you spend at the hotel.

All rooms have private bathrooms with shower and toilet, few have small bathtubs and two pacha suites have large bathtubs (and small Turkish Hamams in each).

All rooms are individually airconditioned.

All rooms are decorated with original 19th century Ottoman Style furnitures to provide you a full ambiance during your stay.

Garden

The peaceful secret garden will get you ready for a hurry day ahead not only with the delicious foods served at breakfast, also with the surroundings. A lazy afternoon under the shadows of linden trees with the beauty and smell of flowers, a cup of Turkish Tea or a cold bevarage in hand with the snacks on the table.

Sarnic Restaurant

Just beside Ayasofya, in Istanbul, you will find a Roman cistern as old as Ayasofya itself.
This extraordinary building, with its massive stone columns and its lofty brick domes, stands at the head of a row of guesthouse forming the narrow “Soğukçeşme” Street between Topkapı Palace walls and St. Sophia
